Double Up Food Bucks
Print & Multimedia Design, 2017-present
There are over 70,000 families in Nebraska that receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Nebraska Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) incentivizes SNAP recipients to purchase more fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers and retailers. When a customer uses their SNAP EBT card to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at a participating Double Up Food Bucks site, the customer will receive a voucher for double the amount they spent (to $20 per day) to use towards more fresh fruits and vegetables.
Since 2017, I have been designing all promotional materials for the program that goes out to farmers markets, CSAs, and grocery stores. This includes flyers, banners, in-store signage, and a few extra-special items, like this trailer wrap for the Community Crops Veggie Van. In addition to the printed materials, I maintain the Double Up Food Bucks website.
