About the Program
In Nebraska, more than 70,000 families rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) for essential support. The Nebraska Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) program, managed by Nebraska Extension, empowers SNAP recipients to buy more fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers and retailers. When customers use their SNAP EBT cards at participating Double Up Food Bucks locations, they receive a voucher that effectively doubles their spending on fresh produce—up to $20 per day—making nutritious food both accessible and affordable for all.
Design Contributions
Since 2017, I have been responsible for designing all promotional materials for the program distributed to farmers markets, CSAs, and grocery stores. My work includes creating eye-catching flyers, banners, and in-store signage, along with special projects like the trailer wrap for the Community Crops Veggie Van. Additionally, I maintain the Double Up Food Bucks website, ensuring that the public has the most up-to-date information about participating farmers markets, grocery stores, and CSAs.
